The tank size is fine, but they really do need lots of flow and very well oxygenated waters, a oversized cannister filter which is suitable for at least 200 litres however if not an oversized filter, then the addition of powerheads would be a good alternative and that would be good for a 90 litre tank for hillstreams but not for the platies or.
