BARC is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive necessary medical care, which includes worming, heartworm test, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption. Our adoption donation varies between $200 - $400.

If you request to adopt an animal in your care, an adoption application must be filled out and approved by L4DR. Once approved, full payment of the adoption fee is required upon signing of the adoption agreement. The foster animal will continue to be shown to potential adopters until all paperwork has been signed and the full fee paid. I agree to return my foster animal(s) to Homes For Pets/Schertz Humane Society if I am requested to do so, within 24 hours of the time of the request.
