We process applications in order received, but we adopt based on best match. if your application is chosen as the match the dog needs, we will reach out to you via text, and/or e-mail to set up an interview. Petfinder is a great way to see adoptable dogs, but each group has its own application that has to be filled out and processed. I don't understand why Petfinder doesn't require that every group use the same application that only has to be filled out once. Petfinder.com, the largest pet Web site on the Internet, is working to change the problem by connecting homeless animals with the people who want them.Petfinder works almost like an Internet dating service. It allows prospective adopters to search a database of available pets based on search criteria such as breed, age, size and gender. Please allow a week for applications to process. We are ran by volunteers who have full time jobs and families to also tend to. If the dog you are applying for is not on our Petfinder it is no longer available. Please fill out the application only once (even if you are applying for multiple dogs}. It is NOT 1st come, 1st serve.

Petfinder is a community and, like all communities, each individual or organization is a little bit different. Ideally, when you visit an animal shelter someone will greet you when you walk through the door, escort you in to meet the pets and answer your questions. Adoption Application. Please fill out the application below if you are interested in adopting an animal from Rescue One. One of our volunteers will be in touch with you shortly after submission.. The adoption process was so thorough and easy to go through, and all of the volunteers went above and beyond our expectations for our new furry. Once the application is received, one of our dedicated volunteers will contact you in 2-3 business days. Once your application has been approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If all goes well, an appointment will be made to complete a home check, finalize the adoption and your new fur baby will be ready to take home. 2. Once your application has been reviewed, a member of our home visit team contact you about scheduling a home visit. The home visit is for the benefit of the animal and the adopter.
